Nar-Anon Mini-Convention Saturday 20th May 2017

Dear Nar-Anon Members

We invite every member of this world wide fellowship to come together in the true spirit of Nar-Anon unity. We all know the amazing gifts of recovery we receive at a Mini Convention, and encourage all members from all our meetings to make a special effort to attend to share in this wonderful opportunity of recovery.

We extend a very special welcome to all those meetings in the rest of South Africa. It would be such an amazing honour for us to meet some of the Nar-Anon members from our outlying regions. We look forward to hosting all of you and your presence would make this convention extra special. Should any member be able to share, we would love to hear from you. So, book those tickets, jump on a bus or fill up a car, and come!!!

Venue: St Peter's Church, Church Street, Mowbray

(Entrance opposite the bus terminus)

TIME: 9H00-15H00

Yours in Service

Events Committee

Looking back on my life, I do not think there was ever a time that I did not live through some sort of substance abuse.

My father was an using alcoholic / addict from before I was born until my mother in desperation threw him out of the house and he left when I was 4 years old. I only saw him once again - shortly before he died. I did not recognize or know him at all.

My mother remarried when I was 8 years old, and guess what ...
